Education Qualification :
Applications are invited from serving employees of AIESL for filling up the post of Trainee Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and to form a panel of suitable candidates for future requirement.
Candidates must have passed DGCA conducted knowledge examinations as applicable in the respective category as under:
For Maintenance divisions
• All B1 Modules or equivalent
OR
• All B2 Modules or equivalent (RT License would be preferred).
• The person must have current practical maintenance experience on operating aircraft as prescribed
under CAR 66.
For Shops
• HA or JE or equivalent modules of B1 Level
• ES or IS or RN or any combination of these three BAMEL or equivalent modules of B2 level
• All shop modules as per AIESL MOE section 3.4, annexure "c", along with two years of current practical experience in similar shop.
AGE LIMIT
Upper age limit is 50 Years. Age relaxations will be as per rule.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
The eligible candidates would be interviewed by a Selection Committee to adjudge suitability and their empanelment.
The selected candidates will be designated as Trainee- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer till such time they acquire the DGCA license or equivalent qualification. The existing pay of the selected candidates would be protected during the period. They would continue to perform their existing duties/functions/ any other duties & functions assigned to them in their present cadre, till such time they acquire the DGCA license or equivalent qualification and are absorbed in the respective cadre. The selected candidates may be posted to any station/ region as per the requirement of the Company.
The candidates would be imparted DGCA/company approved Type rated CAT A / B1 / B2 / Shop, etc. training as per company’s requirement as per training policy. On successful completion of the approved training and after fulfilling the experience requirement, the candidates would be required to obtain DGCA License or equivalent. On acquiring the same in the appropriate category and on completion of training period the candidate will be placed in the applicable scale of pay. If the candidate fails to acquire the qualification within
4 years of joining as Trainee AME, he/she will be reverted back to his previous position and his/her Bond Amount will be recovered.
The candidates will remain in the parent vertical (AIESL/ AIX/ AASL) and will continue with same type of employment arrangement (Permanent/ Fixed Term) after acquiring the requisite qualification and absorption in the respective cadre.
