Applications are invifed for the Direct Recruifment of meritorious sports persons from open market under SPORTS QUOTA for filling the vacancies of the following posts in AssamPostal Circle.
1. Position:
Postal Assistant (PA) in Post Offices
Sorting Assistant (SA) in Railway Mail Service (RMS)
Postal Assistant in Savings Bank Control Organisation [PA (SBCO)]
Postman in Post Offices
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in Post Offices/ Railway Mail Service (RMS) and Postal Stores Depot
2. Position: Postal Assistant
i. Scale of Pay: Rs.25,500- to Rs.81,100- in Level-4 as per Pay Matrix specified in Part-A of Schedule of Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 plus admissible allowances.
ii. No of Posts: 06
iii. Qualification: The candidate must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognised university or Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education. The candidates of higher qualifications will also be considered but they have to fulfil the above conditions. preference for higher educational qualifications.
3. Position: Sorting Assistant
i. Scale of Pay: Rs.25,500- to Rs.81,100- in Level-4 as per Pay Matrix specified in Part-A of Schedule of Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 plus admissible allowances.
ii. No of Posts: 03
iii. Qualification: The candidate must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognised university or Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education. The candidates of higher qualifications will also be considered but they have to fulfil the above conditions. preference for higher educational qualifications.
4. Position: Postman
i. Scale of Pay: Rs.21,700- to Rs.69,100- in Level-3 as per Pay Matrix specified in Part-A of Schedule of Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 plus admissible allowances.
ii. No of Posts: 04
iii. Qualification: The candidate must have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognised university or Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education. Knowledge of LOCAL LANGUAGE i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo. The candidate should have studied local Ianguage as a subject at least up to 10th standard.
3. Position: Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)
i. Scale of Pay: Rs.18,000- to Rs.56,900- in Level-1 as per Pay Matrix specified in Part-A of Schedule of Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 plUs admissible allowances.
ii. No of Posts: 03
iii. Qualification: 10th standard pass from a recognized Board. Knowledge of LOCAL LANGUAGE i.e. Assamese/Bengoli/Bodo. The candidate should have studied local languagei.e. ASsamese/Bengali/Bodo as a subject at least up to 10th standard. The candidates of higher qualifications will also be considered but they have to fulfil the above conditions. preference for higher educational qualifications.

Instructions to the Applicants
1. Original documents viz, (ti) Date of birth as entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or ina certificate recognized by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Registrar of Matriculates maintained by a University

(iv) Best performance proof (v) Latest performance
(vi) Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBc) in prescribed proforma) issued by competent authority, if any, etc. should invariably uploaded along with the application form.
2. Further self-attested latest coloured passport size photograph, shall also be uploaded. If the prescribed documents are not uploaded along with the application, the application will notbe considered.
3. No corespondence in the matter will be made with the applicant.
4. Selected candidates shall be required to give an undertaking to the effect that they shall not apply for inter-change transfer before rendering regular service for a minimum period of 2 (two) years.
5. All relevant documents and certificates will be required fo be produced in original at the time of appointment.
6. The Department reserves the right either to revise the number of vacancies or to cancel the recruitment, if so warranted and the Department will not be liable to return the fee or pay any compensation on the applicant's application
7. In case of failure to comply with the instructions/ conditions prescribed in the notification, application will be rejected.
