Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited Invites online applications from promising, energetic and motivated graduates of Indian nationality as Apprentice under “MUKHYAMANTRI APPRENTICESHIP YOJANA” for various offices of GMRCL located at Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad & Surat as per below details:
1. Position: Apprentice
2. Trade name: Assistant/ Back Office
3. No. of Post: 13 nos. (Gen-7, SEBC-4, ST2, SC-1)
4. Locations: GMRCL Offices (Gandhinagar , Ahmedabad & Surat)
5. Required Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (Graduation) in BA/ B.Com/ BBA/ BCA/ BSc-(IT)/ from a Govt. Recognized University / Institute & Candidate should have Stenography/ Typewriting certificate (English / Gujarati) & Good knowledge of Office Microsoft.
6. Apprentice will get stipend of Rs. 12,000/- per month during 1st Year and may be further enhanced based on performance from second & third year on standard terms & conditions of the Organization

General Conditions
I. Candidates are advised to carefully read the full advertisement for details of eligibility criteria and selection modalities before submission of application.
II. The vacancies are tentative in nature and may decrease or increase as per requirement of the organization in case of non-availability of stenography qualified candidates; others will be considered.
III. The candidates should NOT have undergone Apprenticeship earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training as per the Apprentices Act, 1961, as amended from time to time.
IV. Please note that this apprentice recruitment will be purely based on training under “MUKHYAMANTRI APPRENTICESHIP YOJANA”. The tenure of the Apprenticeship will be as per the trade under which apprentice will take training and on standard terms & conditions of the Organization.
V. The above posts is purely temporary for a period of two (02) years and may be extended for One (01) year or a part thereof depending on the GMRCL’s work requirement and the performance of the candidate.
VI. Please note on completion of period of apprenticeship training in GMRCL the apprentice shall have no rights to claim any employment from GMRCL on the basis of this apprenticeship at any point of time.
VII. The decision of Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection, cancellation of the selection process either in part or full, higher qualification etc. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Filling up of the seats is solely at the discretion of the management based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for engagement, if some of these seats are not filled due to unsuitability / insufficient number of candidates
VIII.Applications/Registration which are incomplete or not fulfilling the eligibility criteria shall not be considered “Eligible” and treated as “Rejected”.
IX. Canvassing of any kind shall disqualify the candidate.
X. The service terms and conditions of the apprentices shall be governed by The Apprentices Act, 1961and Rules 1992 as amended from time to time.
Selection Process
I. Eligible/ qualified candidates as per the eligibility criteria of Advt. shall have to undergo a stenography/ typing skill test dictation speed of 80 wpm; followed by personal interview and final selection will be done based on merit and reservation rules.
II. The candidature of the applicant would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates. In case it is detected at any stage of engagement or thereafter, that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/doctored/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after engagement, his/her engagement is liable to be terminated.
III. The list of documents and originals to be brought for verification shall be intimated to the selected candidates.
IV. On successful completion of document verification and the execution of Apprenticeship contract agreement, letter of engagement shall be issued to the candidates.
V. Reservation of positions will be followed as per Government of Gujarat Policy, as applicable for the engagement of Apprentices under The Apprentices Act, 1961 as amended.
