Qualification Details:
Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways having its Corporate Office at CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai, invites applications for the various posts in civil engineering department for Khurda Road-Bolangir new BG Link project, Odisha on fixed term contract post & on fixed remuneration basis for the duration of 2 years.

1. Post Name: Deputy Chief Engineer /Project

2. No of Post: 01

3. Place of Posting: Bhubaneshwar, Odisha

4. Remuneration: Rs. 1,03,228/- for JAG grade Rs. 1,61,261/- for SG grade per month

5. Minimum Qualification & Eligibility - JAG (Jr. Administrative Grade):

a. Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent. The applicant must be an Indian Citizen of sound health. The applicant should have work experience in Projects of Indian Railways/Indian Railway PSUs/Highways/Metro of minimum 10 years of regular service in Executive cadre.

b. Graduate candidate should have more than 14 years experience. Candidates with Masters Degree should have more than 12 years in Civil Engineering works. Experience as Officer in Indian Railways/PSEs of Indian Railways will be preferred. Personnel who have retired from IR/PSEs of IR can also apply.

6. Experience: Experience involving in estimation, BOQ, execution of Bridge works, Contract Management of Railway/Road projects. Experience in Railway projects will be preferred.

5. Minimum Qualification & Eligibility

i. Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent with not less than 55% marks from recognized (AICTE) university. 

ii. The applicant must be an Indian Citizen of sound health. The applicant should have work experience of minimum 7 years in Construction of Bridges (Major & Important) in Railway / Metro / Highway Sectors.

6. Experience:

a. Experience involving survey, planning, estimation, BOQ, execution of works, preparation of Tender documents, Execution of construction of Bridges (Major &Important). Experience in Railway projects will be preferred. Candidate should also have minimum 7 years experience in new line / Gauge Conversion/

b. Doubling projects, which involve construction of Bridges/Concrete structures, Approach roads/ Feeder roads, construction of Reinforced Earth walls, ensuring quality and safety of the work, compliance to various Labour laws, coordination for commissioning of new lines for passenger services, Liaison with State / Local Authorities etc,

5. Minimum Qualification & Eligibility

Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent with not less than 55% marks from recognized (AICTE) university. The applicant must be an Indian Citizen of sound health. The applicant should have work experience of minimum 6 years in Construction of Bridges (Major & Important) in Railway / Highway Sectors.

6. Experience:

Minimum 6 years in Railway/PSU or in reputed Public/ Private Ltd. Company. This shall be inclusive of: i. 5 Years in Tenders/Contract Cell/Business Development Unit. ii. Well versed in Estimation, Analysis of rates, Examination of Tender specifications, Preparation of Bids. iii. Familiarity and experience of working in various e-tendering portals.

3. Place of Posting: Boudha, Odisha

4. Remuneration: Rs. 58,819/- per month

5. Minimum Qualification & Eligibility

i. Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent with not less than 55% marks from recognized (AICTE) university with minimum 3 years of experience in Construction of Bridges (Major & Important) in Railway / Highway Sectors. OR

ii. Master of Engineering /Technology (Civil) or its equivalent with not less than 55% marks from recognized (AICTE) university with minimum 2 years of experience in Construction of Bridges (Major & Important) in Railway / Metro / Highway Sectors.

6. Experience: Experience involving execution of construction of Bridges (Major & Important). Experience in Railway projects will be preferred.

Age Limit:
35 years - 62 years

Documents Required:
1. Attested copies of certificate in proof of qualification (As per the qualification specified in Notification)

2. Attested copy of Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC/SSC Certificate/Birth Certificate) 

3. Two attested passport size photographs (recent).

4. Attested copy of document regarding experience, last served and others.

5. Attested copy of service certificate in support of claims for Ex- servicemen. Caste certificate, if any 

6. Character certificate

General Information (Applicable to all applicants):-
1. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria only, will be interviewed. 

2. Candidates are advised to check their eligibility before walk-in-interview.

3. The candidates must bring with them original certificates, along with 1 set of self attested photocopy in proof of age, caste, educational qualification along with mark sheets of all semester of Degree and experience on the date of interview, failing which candidate will not be eligible for interview. In case of Ex-serviceman, Certificate in support of claims for Exservicemen. Formula of aggregate % calculation of Degree (CGPA/SGPA etc) to be attached with application.

4. Candidate should bring 1 character certificate from Gazetted Officers/Executives Officers for certifying that he is bearing good moral character.

5. Incomplete or vague educational qualification will be invalid. 

6. Even after contractual agreement, if any document/ certificate/ information are found incorrect or false in any scrutiny or verification, then the contractual service will be immediately terminated forthwith without assigning any reason and prior notice, besides legal action which may also be initiated. 

7. The Corporation reserves the right to cancel/ restrict/ curtail/ enlarge the contract engagement process, if need so arises, without any prior notice and without assigning any reasons therefore.

8. Selected candidates will be required to execute agreement and indemnity bond of Rs. 50,000/- in favour of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited on Rs. 100/- stamp paper to serve the Company for the period specified in the subsequent para below or any further extended period. 

9. The outstation candidates must come prepared to stay for minimum 2 days at their own expenses, if required.

10. Selected candidate will have to pass prescribed medical examination before the contract is entered into, for fitness to perform the work awarded.

11. The selected candidates should be able to join at the project site within maximum 30 days after issuing of contract Engagement letter by KRCL, otherwise it is deemed to have lapsed.

Selection Process:
Mode of Selection: Walk- In Interview

1. The candidates shall arrive at the time and venue and get registered with the nominated KRCL official for the walk-in interview as indicated. Group Discussion (GD) or any other elimination round, can be introduced depending on the number of candidates and those candidates who get through in the elimination round will be called for interview. 

2. The candidate will be interviewed by a nominated Committee and the selection will be finalized on merit based on the performance in the interview, qualification and post qualification experience gained by the Candidate.

3. The decision of the Nominated Committee of KRCL shall be final and binding.

How to Apply:
1. Registration Time:-09.00 hrs to 12:00 hrs only on the date of walk-in-interview.

ii. Venue: Recruitment Cell, 6th Floor, Corporate office, Belapur Bhavan, Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., CBD Belapur, Navi-Mumbai

3. After preliminary screening of the applications submitted by the candidates in person, the eligible candidate(s) will only be interviewed. Candidates should come prepared to stay for minimum 2 days, if required, at their own cost. No train/bus fare/ TA/DA shall be payable by the Corporation.

4. Applications should be completed and strictly as per the prescribed format. Applications not conforming to the prescribed format or having illegible/ambiguous certificates or without certificates or incomplete will be summarily rejected.
