Qualification Details:
For recruitment to 381 posts of Assistant Professor (Broad Speciality) in Group-A, under the Odisha Medical Education Service cadre for posting in Government MCHs of the State under Health & Family Welfare Department in the Academic Level-12 of ORSP (MCT) Rules, 2019 with usual dearness and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time t time. The posts are temporary and likely to be made permanent.

3. Qualification:
(A) In order to be eligible for direct recruitme , a candidate must —
(i) Have acquired a Post Graduate Degree tn the concerned Broad Speciality / Super Speciality or any other equivalent degree or qualification prescribed by the MCI/NMC from time to time.
(ii) Where the DWM.Ch. is of two years duration or five years recognized course after MBBS, one year teaching and , or research experiency in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality shall be required after obtaining the qualifyi g degree of DM or M.Ch.
(iii)Those candidates,who have undergone. Diplomate National Board training in concerned subject are also eligible for the post of Assistant Prof sor subject to fulfilling of any other criteria regarding Diplomate National Board, prescribed by I/NMC from time to time in force.

Age:
A candidate must have attained the age of 21(twenty one) years and must not be above the age of 45 (Forty five) years on the 1 day of January 2021 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2d January 1976 and not later than 1s January 2000.
Application Fee:
A candidate is required to pay non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. Five hundred) only.
Other Conditions:
1. Applications submitted to OPSC if found to be incomplete in any respect, are liable for rejection without entertpining any correspondence with the applicants on that score;
2. Admissiyn to examination will be provisional. If on verification at any stage before or after the examination it is found that a candidate does not fulfil all the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature will be liable to rejection.
3. Decision of the Commission in regard to eligibility or otherwise of candidate shall be final;
4. This advertisement should not be construed as binding on the Government to make appointment;
5. Concessions meant for S.E.B.C., S.C. & S.T. by Birth are admissible to the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha only;
6. Community/ Caste status once mentioned by the candidate in the online application form will be treated as final and the same shall not be changed subsequently under any circumstances
7. Any misrepresentation or suppressipn of information by the candidate in the application form will result in cancellation of his/her candidature or penalty, as decided by the Commission;

Selection Process :
1. The selection of candidates for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in Broad Speciality will be made as per the guidelines as enumerated in Odisha Medical Education Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021 i.e. on the basis of

Written Test from amongst the candidates possessing MD/MS / DM/ M.Ch degree in the concerned discipline from MCI / NMC permitted or approved or recognized Medical College and l/ or any other academic qualification with such additional teaching experience in the subject as may be prescribed by MCI /NMC from time to time in force.
3. The written test shall be of total 200 marks; The total no. of questions shall be 200 with one mark for each question and will be of Multiple Choice Qutstions (MCQ) pattern;
4. There shall be negative marking for wrong answers. For each wrong answer 0.25 marks shall be deducted from the marks awarded for correct answers. The qualifying marks in the written examination shall be as decided by the Commission.
