Applications are invited from IT Professionals who have retired from Central Govt/State Government/PSU for filling up posting of Advisor (IT)in Food Corporation of India, New Delhi on a purely temporary and contractual basis
1. Post Name: Advisor

3. Duration of appointment: For a period of 01 year, extendable by another year.
4. Remuneration: Consolidated amount of Rs. 1,50,000/- per month.
5. Role Objectives:
i. Provide technology thought leadership, vision and strategic direction in collaboration with key stakeholders of all the projects.
ii. Ensure development and implementation IT Architecture strategies to accommodate current and future needs of the project.
iii. Responsible for planning and setting up of the IT infrastructure and development resources for successful execution of the complete project.
iv. Define the Enterprise Archtecture and high – level roadmap for the project with well – defined milestones
v. Ensure that Business needs of FCI are effectively met through proper deployment of IT systems and applications which increases the productivity and bring in transparency of various services.
6. Educational Qualification: Must have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Applications.
7. Experience:
i. Minimum 15 years experience in the IT sector with experience across architecture, transformation, strategy and program management.
ii. Should have Certification or at least working knowledge and experience on either of TOGAF, Zachman or IndEA architecture frameworks.
iii. Should have led definition, implementation and evaluation of Technical Architecture of large complex applications.
iv. Should have led proposal / bid evaluation and vendor assessment.

Responsibilities
1. Overall responsible for scoping, planning, monitoring of the projects.
2. Responsible for leading development of IT systems, engaging agencies to support development of IT systems and managing the agencies to maintain standards with the IT systems being developed.
3. Responsible for ensuring processes and methodologies are in place for all phases of software life cycle management including business continuity and disaster recovery processes.
4. Define the guidelines for selection of technologies and tools.
5. Ensure applicable security and compliance/regulatory standards and policies, are identified, and implemented for all aspects of IT infrastructure and application development
6. Stay up to date on emerging technologies and lead assessment for each project needs.
7. Advise business leadership and internal IT teams on techno – commercial proposals, issues and solutions, and lead evaluation for technical and commercial feasibility.
8. Ideate and advise on potential technical solutions for business and technical problems and issues.
9. Determining and implementing build versus buy strategies.
10. Evaluating internal business functions, IT processes and suggesting improvements
11. Ideate and innovate to optimize costs.
12.Creating business architecture models to reflect the organization’s strategies and goals and creating and implementing business visions and goals
13.Creating methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management and change control.
14. Overall program management through co – ordination with all stakeholders.
15. Provide overall technical leadership on projects as well as oversight and mentoring to other team members (in – house or third party).
Terms and Conditions:
1. The appointment is purely on contract basis for a period of one year, with effect from the date of joining. Thereafter, the contract will lapse automatically.
2. The appointment can also be terminated at any time (on either side) by giving one month’s notice or by paying one month’s salary, without assigning any reason or failure to complete the period of three months to the satisfaction of competent authority.
3. The engagement will be purely on contractual basis, initially for a period of one year which may be extended with the approval of competent authority on the basis of satisfactory working report and conduct of the concerned.
4. The upper age limit for making application for contractual appointment will be 64 years, as on 30.10.2021. The contractual IT Professional will be eligible to serve FCI till he attains 65 years.
5. The appointee shall perform the duties assigned to him/her. The competent authority reserves the right to assign any additional duty as and when required. No extra/additional allowance will be admissible in case of such assignment.
6. The appointee shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Treatment, Seniority, Promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the Government/FCI employees, appointed on regular basis.
7. The appointee will not be granted any claim or right for regular appointment to any post.
8. Only consolidated salary will be admissible. No Dearness Allowance,increment and other allowances as are admissible to the Central Govt servants shall be admissible.
9. The appointee is not entitled to any TA for joining the appointment.
10.Other conditions of service will be governed by relevant rules and orders issued from time to time.
11.If any declaration given or information furnished by him/her proves false or if he/she is found to have willfully suppressed any material, information, he/she will be liable to removal from service and also such other action as the Government may deem necessary.
