Qualification Details:
Recruitment to the posts of Post Graduate Teacher for 17 nos. of stand-alone Government Higher Secondary Schools under Department of School & Mass Education.
Online applications are invited from the prospective candidates for recruitment to 335 (Three hundred thirty five) posts of Post Graduate Teacher for 17 nos. of stand-alone Government Higher Secondary Schools under Department of School & Mass Education carrying the pay at Level-IO and Cell-Ol of the Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017 with usual Dearness and other allowances as prescribed by the Government of Odisha from time to time
i. The posts are temporary but likely to be made permanent.

3. Out of the total of 335 number of posts as mentioned above, 13 posts are reserved for Persons with Disability (whose permanent disability is 40% & more), 10 posts are reserved for Ex- Servicemen and 03 post are reserved for Sports Persons. Candidates belonging to PW D category, Ex- servicemen & Sports Persons shall be adjusted against the categories to which they belong.
4. Qualification:
(i) A candidate must have Master's Degree in subject concerned from a recognized University and have possessed two years Post Graduate Master's Course or integrated six years Post Graduate Master's Course from Regional College of Education recognized by the NCERT in the concerned subject;
(ii) A candidate must have B.Ed. or equivalent degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi as equivalent with B.Ed. from a recognized University provided that B.Ed. qualification shall not be the mandatory eligibility criteria for the post of Post Graduate Teacher in the subjects where B.Ed. course is not offered.
(iii) Degree or Diploma in Computer Application is desirable qualification subject to production of the certificate in support of above qualification obtained from a recognized University or College or Institution having affiliation to a recognized University.
Age:
A candidate must not be below the age of 21 (twenty one) years and above 32 (thirty two) years for fresh candidates as on the ISt day of January 2021 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1989 and not later than 1st January, 2000.
Application Fee:
A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs.400/- (Rupees four hundred) only. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with Disability (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) are exempted from payment of this fee.
Documents Required:
1. Matriculation certificate in support of declaration of age issued by the concerned Board /Council;
2. Post-Graduation certificate/ Master's Degree in the subject concerned in respect of educational qualification prescribed;
3. B.Ed. certificate;
4. Mark-sheets in support of all the Examinations(H.S.C, Intermediate/+2, Graduation/+3, Post Graduation & B.Ed.) including fail marks, if any, issued by the concerned Board/Council/ University;
5. Degree or Diploma certificate in Computer Application in respect of educational qualification prescribed;
Important Notes:
(i) Online applications submitted to OPSC if found to be incomplete in any respect are liable to reiection without entertaining any correspondence with the applicants on that score:
(ii) Admission to Personality test/lnterview will be provisional. If on verification any stage before or after the Personality test/lnterview, it is found that a candidate does not fulfil all the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature will be liable to rejection. Decision of the Commission in regard to eligibility or otherwise of candidate shall be final;
(iii) Concessions meant for ST/SC by birth are admissible to the Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste of Odisha only;
(iv) Community /Caste status once mentioned by the candidates under the appropriate box of the online application form will be treated as final and the same shall not be changed subsequently under any circumstances.
(v) This advertisement should not be construed as binding on the Government to make appointment;
(vi) Any misrepresentation or suppression of information by the candidate in the online application, will result in cancellation of his/her candidature or penalty, as decided by the Commission be imposed on the candidate;
Selection Process :
1. The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts will be made on the basis of Career Assessment and Personality test/lnterview. There shall be total marking of 100 marks. Out of 100 marks, the Career Assessment will be 70 marks and Personality test/lnterview will be of 30 marks. 70 marks of Career Assessment as mentioned may be calculated with following weightage:
2. N.B: Incase of Non-B.Ed. posts such as PGT Commerce, Anthropology and Sociology etc. the weightage for Post-Graduation will be 60%. (ii) Viva Voce test 30 Marks
3. Final select list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in Career Assessment and Personality Test/lnterview, category wise.
4. "The candidates in three times of the total nos. of posts of Post Graduate Teachers in each category (subject wise) shall be shortlisted and shall be called for the Personality Test/interview on the basis of marks secured in Post- Graduation level, which shall be qualifying in nature".
How to Apply :
1. Online applications are invited from the prospective candidates through the proforma application to be made available on the Website of the Commission (http://opsc.gov.in).
2. The link for registration/re- registration and payment of examination fee shall be available from 08.11.2021 to 07.12.2021 (Note: 14.12.2021 is the last date for submission of Registered Online Application)
(a) Candidates must go through the details of this Advertisement available in the Website of OPSC before filling up online application form.
(b) Candidates must apply online through the concerned Website of the OPSC http://opsc.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
(c) The candidates are requested to upload the self attested copies of the documents as per Para-9 of the advertisement.
(d) Before filling up the online application form, the candidates must go through detailed instructions available at OPSC portal.
(e) The online application form is automated and system driven and will guide the candidate seamlessly in filling the application.
(f) The requisite options shall be enabled and information shall be asked as per data furnished by the candidate. Before filling up the information. ensure that accurate information is fed. for edit option is limited & on confirmation there is no scope for further edit even if wrongful entry has been made while filling up application.
