On-line Applications are invited from the prospective candidates through the proforma application to be made available on Website (http://opsc.gov.in).
The link for registration/ re-registration & payment of examination fee shall be available from 26.10.2021 to 25.11.2021 (Note: 03.12.2021 is the last date for submission of Registered Online Application) for recruitment to 606 (six hundred six) posts of Assistant Professors (Stage-I) in different disciplines in Group-A of O.E.S. (College Degree Colleges of the State under Department of Higher Education in the Scale of Pay Cell-I of Level-10 of the Pay matrix under ORSP (CT) Rules, 2019 with usual Dearness and other Allowances as admissible by the Government from time to time. ranch) of Government

3. Education Qualification:
(A) Possess a Master's Degree, with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade, in the concerned/ relevant/ allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University. Provided that for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, SEBC & Persons with Disabilities categories, the requirement of securing at least 55% marks shall be reduced to 50% marks or its equivalent grade.
(B) have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) meant for appointment of Assistant Professor (Stage-1) or must have acquired a Ph.D. Degree in the concened/ relevant/ allied subject from an Indian University or a Foreign University.
Age:
A candidate must not be above 45 (forty five) years of age and under 21 (twenty one) years of age on the last date of receiving/ submission of online application 03.12.2021, i.e. he or she must have been born not earlier than 04.12.1976 and not later than 03.12.2000.
Application Fee:
A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs.400/- (Rupees four hundred) only. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with Disabilities (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) are exempted from payment of this fee.
Document Required:
Candidates are required to upload the scan copy of the original certificates, mark-sheets and other documents while filing the online application form. Only those who are called for verification of original documents are required to bring with them the original certificates, mark-sheets etc. along with the hard copy of online application form at the time of document verification. If a candidate fails to furnish any of the original documents/ certificates at the time of document verification, he/she shall not be allowed to appear at the interview & candidature shall be rejected.
1. H.S.C. or equivalent certificate in support of declaration of age issued by the concerned Board/Council;
2. Bachelor's Degree certificate issued by the recognized University;
3. Master's Degree certificate in the concerned/relevant/ allied discipline in respect of educational qualification prescribed for the recruitment;
4. M. Phil Certificate;
5. NET qualified certificate;
6. Ph.D. Degree Certificate;
7. Mark-lists in support of all the aforesaid Examinations (H.S.C., Graduation Degree, Post- Graduation Degree, M. Phil Degree etc.) including fail marks, if any, issued by the concerned Board/ Council/ University.
Other Conditions:
(i) Online applications submitted to OPSC if found to be incomplete/incorrect in any respect are liable to rejection without entertaining any correspondence with the applicants on that score;
(ii) Admission to Viva Voce will be provisional. If on verification at any stage before or after the Viva Voce, it is found that a candidate does not fulfil all the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature will be liable to rejection. Decision of the Commission in regard to eligibility or otherwise of candidate shall be final;
(iii) This advertisement should not be construed as binding on the Government to make appointment;
(iv) Concessions meant for S.E.B.C & S.c./ s.T. categories by Birth are admissible to the Socially Educationally Backward Classes ,Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes of Odisha only;
(v) Community ( SC/ST/SEBC) once mentioned by the candidates under the appropriate box of the online application form, will be treated as final and the same shall not be changed subsequently under any circumstances.
(vi) Any misrepresentation or suppression of information by the candidate in the online application, will result in cancellation of his/her candidature or penalty, as decided by the Commission, be imposed on the candidate;
(vii) Mere empanelment in the select list shall not confer any right for appointment unless the Government is satisfied after making such enquiry as may be deemed necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects for appointment to the service.
Selection Process :
1. Selection for direct recruitment to the rank of Assistant Professor (Stage-1) shall be made by the Commission on the basis of merit to be judged by performance in interview of eligible shortlisted candidates.
2. The Academic score as specified (Table 3B) for colleges as per UGC regulation, 2018 shall be considered for shortlisting of candidates for interview which is appended as Annexure - A to this advertisement.
3. The Commission have decided that 03 (three) times the number of vacancies shall be shortlisted for interview when the number of vacancies is more than 02 (two). For subjects where there are only one or two vacancies, 10 (ten) candidates shall be shortlisted for interview.
4. On the basis of the result of interview, the Commission shall prepare a subject-wise merit list of successful candidates, arranged in order of merit, equal to the number of posts to be filled up, and fumish the same to the Government.
How to Apply :
a) Online Registration/ Re-registration And Online Payment Of Examination Fees Shall Be Available In The Website From 26.10.2021 To Till 25.11.2021 (11:59 P.m).
b) Submission Of Online Registered Applications Can Be Done In The Website From 26.10.2021 To Till 03.12.2021 (11.59 P.m).
1. Candidates must go through the details of this Advertisement available in the Website of OPSC before filling up online application form.
2. Candidates must apply online through the concerned Website of the OPSC http://opsc.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
3. Before filling up the online application form, the candidates must go through detailed instructions available at OPSC portal.
4. The online application form is automated and system driven and will guide the candidate seamlessly in filling the application. The requisite options shall be enabled and information shall be asked as per data furnished by the candidate. Before filling up the information, ensure that accurate information is fed. for edit option is limited & on confirmation there is no scope for further edit even if wrongful entry has been made while filling up application.
5. Candidates are requested to upload the scanned image of latest pass port size photograph along with scanned image of his/her full signature and scanned image of Left-hand Thumb Impression (LTI) in the online application form. Uploaded photograph, Specimen (full) signature and LTI must be clearly identifiable / visible, otherwise the application of the candidate is liable to be rejected by the Commission and no representation from the candidate will be entertained.
6. Candidates should keep at least two copies of latest passport size photo graph which is uploaded to the online application form for future use.
7. On successful submission of the online Registration, a unique "Permanent Public Ser- vice Account Number (PPSAN)" will be assigned to the applicant. Candidates are required to take a printout of the finally submitted online Registration/Re-registration and finally Submitted Online Application forms and put his/ her signature under the declaration for submission to OPSC along with copies of requisite certificate & documents as and when asked.
8. The candidates are advised to submit the Online Application Form well in advance without waiting for the closing date to avoid last hour rush.
9. "Intimation letters" to candidates for document verification & interview and "Attestation form" &"Bio-data form" shall be uploaded in the website of OPSC prior to the date of Document Verification/ Interview.
