3. Educational Qualification:
The candidate must have passed Matric/ 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from recognized Board and ITI in relevant trade (i.e. National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/State Council for Vocational Training).
4. Training Period & Stipend:
i. Training will be arranged in accordance with the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council.
ii. The selected candidates will be paid stipend during Apprenticeship at the applicable rates as per extant instructions, Rates are liable to change as per rules and directions issued by Railway Board time to time.
iii. Hostel accommodation will be provided and selected candidates will have to make their own arrangement during their training as per Apprentices Act' 1961 and they will be released on completion of the training.

1. SSC (Standard 10th) or its equivalent Marks Sheet
2. Certificate for proof of Date of Birth (Standard 10th or its equivalent Marks Sheet or School Leaving Certificate indicating Date of Birth).
3. Consolidated Marks Sheet of ITI for all semesters of the trade in which applied/Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks.
4. National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT
5. Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates in wherever applicable. EWS Certificate in if applicable
6. Disability certificate, in case of PwBD Candidate
7. Discharge certificate/Serving certificate, in case of candidates applied against Ex- servicemen quota.
Important Instructions:
1. The decision of the Railway administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications and mode of selection shall be final.
2. Imparting training in Railway will not confer any right to the candidates for their absorption in Railway after successful completion of training. In terms of Schedule-V of the Apprenticeship Rules’1992, notified on 15.07.1992 by the Ministry of Labour, it shall not be obligatory on the part of the employer to offer any employment of the apprentice on completion of period of his/her apprenticeship training in his/her establishment.
3. It shall not be obligatory on the part of the apprentice to accept an employment under the employer.
4. No correspondence for engagement will be entertained
5. Canvassing In Any Form Will Disqualify The Candidature And No Correspondence Will Be Entertained At All In The Matter.
6. Before applying, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other criteria. If erroneously engaged, such candidates shall be summarily dismissed without notice at any stage
7. Candidature of the candidate shall be cancelled if he/she fails to produce the required original testimonials for verification or any other discrepancy noticed.
8. If it is noticed by the Railway administration that the candidate has furnished wrong/fake/false certificate(s), the railway administration reserves the right to discharge the candidate/selected candidate at any stage without notice, even after his/her selection to undergo training.
9. The Railway administration does not undertake any responsibility for sending reply to the candidates not selected or not called for. No correspondence in respect of the applications submitted shall be entertained or replied by this office to any individual or organization
10. The Railway administration will not be responsible for any printing error.
11. No allowance will be paid to the candidates called for document verification.
12. Candidates need not send any application printouts or certificates or copies to RRC by post. The candidature of the candidates will be considered only on the strength of the information furnished in the ONLINE application.
13. After selection for engagement, request of candidate to change the division/unit will not be entertained.
14. In case of any dispute, English version of the Notification will be treated as valid.
15. Any legal matter arising out of this Employment Notice, shall fall within the legal jurisdiction of Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal, Patna only

Selection Procedure :
1. Selection for Apprenticeship training will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification for a particular Division/Unit.
2. The merit list will be prepared taking the average of the %age marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
3. For the purpose of calculation of percentage of matriculation, marks obtained by the candidates in all subjects will be reckoned and not on the basis of marks of any subject or a group of subjects.
4. In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidate with older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also same, then the candidate who passed matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first.
5. Candidature of finally enlisted candidates for Apprenticeship Training will be subjected to verification of original documents and being found fit in appropriate Medical Examination.
How to Apply :
1. Opening of Online Application: 06/10/2021 11:00 hrs.
2. Date and time of closing of Online Application: 05/11/2021 17:00 hrs.
3. ONLINE applications are invited from interested candidates for engagement of Act Apprentices for imparting training under the Apprentice Act 1961 in the designated trades at Divisions/Units in the jurisdiction of East Central Railway against 2206 slots.
4. Applications complete in all respects should be submitted only ONLINE till 17:00 hrs. of the closing date.
5. Candidates should note and take cognizance of the fact that this is a Centralized Notification for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for East Central Railway’s Divisions/Units. Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway (RRC/ECR) has been nominated as nodal agency for obtaining ONLINE applications from candidates and preparation of their merit list.
6. Merit list will be prepared Division/Unit wise and candidates must note that no centralized merit list will be formed.
7. Candidates can submit their applications ONLINE only on RRC’s official website www.rrcecr.gov.in.
8. After preparation of merit list, the same will be advised to respective Divisions/Units of East Central Railway. Document verification and medical examination will be held in opted Divisions/Units, as per the choice of Division/Unit as mentioned in the Candidate’s application.
9. Candidates are required to apply ONLINE by visiting official website of RRC (ECR) www.rrcecr.gov.in. Detailed instructions for filling up ONLINE applications is available on the website.
10. Candidates are required to log on to official website of RRC(ECR) www.rrcecr.gov.in provided for filling ONLINE applications and fill up the personal details/Bio-data etc. carefully.
11. Candidates are also required to upload their signature (size 3.5 cm X 1.5 cm. size 3.5 cm X 1.5 cm. size 3.5 cm X 1.5 cm. in JPG/JPEG JPG/JPEG JPG/JPEG format100 DPI 100 DPI 100 DPI, size of file should be between 20 kb to 30 kb 20 kb to 30 kb 20 kb to 30 kb).Signature must be in running handwriting not in block/capital or disjointed letters.
12. The ONLINE application, complete in all respect, can be submitted through ONLINE process to RRC up to 05/11/2021 till 17:00 hrs. NO physical copy of the application is required to be sent to RRC. Even if it is received, no cognizance will be taken to it.
