3. Eligibility for Appointment: Appointment shall be by direct recruitment after calling for applications from candidates who have passed Master Degree in English at least in second class with Kannada as one of the languages in Bachelor degree. The candidates must have passed in such Bachelor Degree (with Kannada as one of the languages) at least in second class.
4. Scale of Pay: 7 44,900 - 1,42,400 (Level-7) with admissible allowances as per the High Court of Karnataka (Officers 8 Officials) Revised Pay Rules 2018.
5. Probation: The candidate, if appointed, shall be on probation initially for a period of two years or for extended period, if necessary.
Age:
40 years in the case of a person belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe or Category - I of other Backward Classes. 38 years in the case of a person belonging to Category II-A or II-B or Category IiI-A or II-B of Other Backward Classes; and 35 years in the case of General Merit candidates.
Selection Procedure :
To assess the suitability of the candidates for appointment to the said posts, selection shall be held in the following manner:-
1. Written Test Paper-I Test of Knowledge of Language (English & Kannada)
2. Paper-II Test of Knowledge of Translation: (Kannada to English) & (English to Kannada)
(a) Written Test: The candidates whose applications are in order shall be called for written test.
(b) Viva-voce:- Out of the candidates who are successful in the written test, such candidates in the ratio of 1:10 in the order of merit in each category shall be called for viva-voce.
