Education Qualification :
Project Name: Movement Ecology of Tiger (Panthera tigris) for Conflict Prediction and Landscape Management in Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve - Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve Complex, Southern India
1. Post Name: Project Associate - I (Two Positions), equivalent to JRF as per DST revised designation
2. Essential Qualification (EQ): Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering of Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
3. Desirable Qualification (DQ): Domain knowledge and experiences in Camera trapping; Distance sampling; Human-carnivore conflicts, Telemetry, Spatial analyses and predictive modelling involving Remote Sensing and GIS tools.
4. Scope of work:
(a) Investigation on movement ecology of tiger.
(b) Landscape analyses to map corridors, satellite cores and connectivity modeling.
(c) Handling, processing, and analyses of large-scale spatial data
(d) Development of Landscape Management Plan.
5. Location of Project sites: Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve and Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala)
6. Emoluments:
(i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (i) (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET (ii) Including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or
(b) A selected process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institution. (iii) (ii) 25000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
7. Duration: One year extendable depending upon requirement and performance of the candidate.

Selection Procedure :
1. The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Selection Committee. All original documents should be produced at the time of interview.
2. The shortlisted candidates will be notified (through email and website notification) for online personal interview by 03rd September 2021. The online interview will be held on 06th September 2021 from 1000 hrs onwards.
