Applications are invited for appointment to 1 (One) post earmarked to BC-B(Woman) for the post of District Judge (Entry Level) by Direct Recruitment in the A.P.State Judicial Service in the following manner.

A Person, who has completed (35) thirty five years of age and who has not completed forty five (45) years of age as on 01.07.2021

Note:

1. Incomplete applications and applications without testimonials and certificates in proof of the particulars given and the applications received after the last date i.e., 06-08-2021 will be summarily rejected.

2. The fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances. Failure to pay the application/examination fee will be summarily rejected.

3. The Government is not responsible for any postal /courier delays. No further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

Selection Procedure :

a) For the purpose of short-listing the candidates, the High Court will conduct Screening Test for 100 marks comprising of 100 multiple choice objective type Questions. The duration of examination will be two (2) hours. The Venue and Time will be mentioned in the Hall Ticket at appropriate point of time. The candidates who secure 40% and above marks in the screening test will be short listed in the ratio of 1:10 of the available vacancies, for written examination.

i) Provided that if there are more than one candidate who have secured identical marks in the screening test, all such candidates shall be called for the written examination.

ii) The marks obtained in the screening test shall not be added to the marks obtained in the written examination and they shall not be counted for determining final order of merit of the candidates, as the screening test is conducted for the purpose of short listing the candidates.

b) Written Examination consists of the following three (3) papers:

I) Civil Law,

II) Criminal Law and

III) English (Translation and Essay writing).

1. Translation test has to be made from English to Telugu and Telugu to English. The Translation test is conducted for 25 marks and Essay Writing test for 75 marks on Legal Subjects. Each paper shall carry 100 marks. The duration of each paper is three (3) hours. The medium of examination for writing the examination is English.

2. Minimum Marks to be secured in the Written Examination to qualify for Viva Voce: The candidates belonging to Backward Class category under Direct Recruitment must secure not less than 50% marks in each paper and not less than 55% of marks in aggregate in the written examination shall be eligible for Viva Voce test carrying 50 marks. The object of the written examination is to test the academic knowledge of the candidates.

3. Viva Voce: The Viva Voce test is for 50 marks. The object of Viva Voce is to assess the suitability of the candidates for the cadre by judging the mental alertness, knowledge of Law, clear and logical exposition, balance of Judgment, skills, attitude, ethics, power of assimilation, power of communication, character and intellectual depth and the like of the candidates. The successful candidates in the written examination will be called for Viva-voce in the ratio of 1:3 of the available vacancies and if there are more, than one candidate who secures identical cut off marks, all such candidates will be called upon to appear for Viva Voce, for maintaining the ratio of 1:3.

a) The decision of the High Court as to the eligibility or other wise of a candidate for admission to the written examination and Viva-voce shall be final. Only candidates who are issued with Hall Tickets shall be admitted for the examination Any candidate who remains absent for the Viva Voce, he/she shall be deemed to have been disqualified for selection.

4. Minimum aggregate Marks to be secured in the Written Examination and Viva Voce for selection to the post of District Judge. For selection to the posts of District Judge (Entry Level) under Direct Recruitment, the BC category candidates must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in Written Examination and Viva Voce. (Candidates who secure less than the said percentage will become ineligible for selection to the post).

The application in the Pro forma prescribed below accompanied by a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.1500/- drawn in favour of Registrar(Recruitment)", High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Nelapadu, Amaravat" payable at Nelapadu, along with testimonials and certificates attested by a Gazetted Officer in proof of the eligibility addressed to:

a) Chief Secretary to Government, Government of Andhra Pradesh, General Administration (SC.F) Department, Secretariat Buildings, Velagapudi, Amaravati, Guntur District, Pin Code 522238, Andhra Pradesh should reach the Chief Secretary not later than 5.00 P.M. on 06-08-2021 with the cover super scribed as "Application for appointment to the post of District Judge (Entry Level) in the A.P.State Judicial Service under Direct Recruitment".
