Qualification Details:
Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission Requires Officers on Retainership cum Consultancy – Contract for 33 Months/3 Years
1. Name of the Post: Hardware Engineer
2. Number of Post: 1 (One)
3. Minimum Educational Qualification:- Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) or Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) or Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology from recognized University
4. Experience:-
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Hardware field, Information Technology, Windows 7, 10 installation & troubleshooting knowledge, Computer hardware problem troubleshooting, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 / 2012 (Active Directory), SAN Storage Management, Server Hardware troubleshooting, AWS, Linux 6 / 7, Firewall Management, LAN and WAN Management etc. is desirable. Must have Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and RHCSA certified and ITIL v4 certified..
5. Remuneration: Rs. 50,000/-per month (Consolidated all inclusive). In case of a deserving candidate or a candidate having experience working in the Electricity Regulatory Commission, higher remuneration could be considered at the sole discretion of the Commission.
Age:
Maximum age limit of the candidates should not be more than 40 years as on date of publication of Advertisement. The upper age limit will not be applicable for a person who has three years experience of working in the MERC.
Other conditions:
1. The candidates who will be appointed as Sr. Regulatory Officer (Technical), Regulatory Officer (Technical), Application Developer (IT) and Hardware Engineer shall not have any right/claim or lien for appointment on regular basis on the establishment of the Commission.
2. The application which is partly filled will not be accepted.
3. The Number of posts mentioned above are tentative and may change as per requirements.
4. MERC reserves the right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason whatsoever.
5. Selected candidates will be initially engaged for 11 Months (1 Year) on contract basis. The contract will be extendable for further periods of 22 Months (2 Years) on satisfactory services rendered and by mutual understanding / agreement.
6. No traveling expense will be reimbursed by the MERC for attending the Written Test / Interview.

Selection Process :
1. The eligible candidates will be shortlisted and will be called for Written Test/Interview
2. Commission reserves all the rights of short -listing criteria’s depending upon the number of applications received.
