Applications are invited from eligible candidates for direct recruitment to the post of Medical Officer, Maharashtra Medical & Health Services, Group „A‟. by selection in all districts of Maharashtra.

3. Pay: As per seventh pay commission S-20, Rs.56100-177500 and other admissible allowances as per prevalent rules
a) As per Government Resolution, Public Health Department, No.MMO.2011/CR No.776/ Seva-3, dated 14th December, 2011 the post graduate diploma holders are entitled for three additional increments and the post graduate Degree holders entitled for six additional increments. Hence the salary of the Medical Officers(Specialists) will be higher than that of Medical Officers(MBBS). However, Post Graduates Degree/Diploma Holder Candidates will be posted according to their educational qualification and as per staffing pattern of the health institution and after such posting they will entitled for additional increment.
4. Qualification: Candidates must possess.
a) For Medical Officer (MBBS post): The MBBS Degree of a statutory University or any other equivalent qualification as specified in the First or Second Schedule appended to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956);
b) For Medical Officer (specialist posts): The Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Statutory University in faculty of above mentioned para (4.1) or other equivalent qualification as specified the First or Second Schedule appended to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956);
c) The candidates should have completed their internship on or before 31st March, 2021.
Age:
As per existing rules as on 1 st April, 2021, not more than 38 years. Relaxable as per rules in case of backward class candidates

Note:
1) The Medical Officer already working as Medical Officer Group-A (Seventh Pay, S-20, 56100- 177500) in Public Health Department are not eligible to apply and such applications stand cancelled & rejected.
2) The Health institutes in Tribal area are declared by, Government Resolution, Public Health Department, No.Ma.Vaii.A-2019/Pr.Kr.165/Seva-3 dated 19.03.2019 experience of working in these areas as bonded / Contract basis as Medical Officer will be considered for weightage of Marks.
3) The candidates should enclose experience certificate as per attached format issued by the competent authority. The competent authority for issuing the experience certificate is Head of the Institute / Office.
4) Service will be counted on 6 monthly periods. No weightage will be given for the service rendered less than 6 months.
5) The cut-off date for the purpose of counting of weightage of marks will be 31st March, 2021.
6) For evaluation of marks as per the prescribed criteria for selection process the candidates must send self attested copies of mark sheets and certificates along with the application form. Otherwise the application form of the candidate will be rejected.
7) All application forms will be scrutinized by the Director, Directorate of Health Services, Arogya Bhavan Mumbai to prepare the merit list of eligible candidates as prescribed procedure prepared and to be displayed on the website.
8) The eligible candidates will be called for the counseling and should personally remain present for counseling along with original required documents. Representative not allowed.
9) As per the merit list and preferences of the eligible candidates, Government will issue appointment and posting orders on the same day of counseling.
10) The selected candidates are required to join at the place of posting within prescribed time limit and will be registered in SEVARTH.
11) The selected candidates failing to join at the post of appointment within prescribed time limit will loose there right to appointment and the order will get cancelled on the specified date automatically.
12) It is mandatory for newly appointed Medical Officers to stay at Headquarters. Medical Officer‟s salary is linked with their Bio matric attendance.
General:
1 Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.
2 There are prospects of promotion to the post of Maharashtra Medical & Health Services Gr-A (S-23, 56100-177500) provided candidate fulfills the prescribed criteria.
3 Selected candidates will be debarred from doing any private practice, but will be paid non practice allowance in lieu of private practice according to the rules.
4 Selected candidates will be required to sign bound to serve Government for a period of five years or in default to pay a penalty amount as may be prescribed by the Government time to time.
5 Selected candidates will have to get themselves registered with the Maharashtra Medical Council Act, 1965 (Mah.XLVI of 1965), or his/her name should be enrolled in the Indian Medical Register maintained as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) before joining duty.
Selection Process :
1. Aggregate of marks obtained in all the years in the Degree exam - 60% (Maximum 60 marks) - Not Applicable
2. Aggregate of marks obtained in post graduate diploma or degree exam - Not Applicable - 60% (Maximum 60 marks)
3. Service rendered in government as Medical Officer either on bonded basis or on contract basis - 4 marks per 6 months in tribal area and 3 marks per 6 months in non-tribal area. Maximum upto 20 marks - 4 marks per 6 months in tribal area and 3 marks per 6 months in nontribal area. Maximum upto 20 marks
4. No. of total years after completion of Degree (If not in Government Service) - Each year 2 marks (Maximum 20 Marks) - Each year 2 marks (Maximum 20 Marks)

2. Applicants are required to make the payment of fees mentioned below through Demand Draft of the Nationalized Bank. Demand Draft should be drawn in the name of “The Director, Health Services, Mumbai.” Demand Draft must be attached with duly filled application form and attach an self-declaration and attested xerox copies of required documents as mentioned in application form.
3. Application form along with original self-declaration and necessary documents should be sent to the Director, Commissinorate of Health Services, Saint Georges Hospital Premises, Arogya Bhavan Mumbai so as to reach on or before 20th April, 2021.
4. Applications received after this due date will not be accepted under any circumstances and no enquiry in that behalf will be entertained. Application sent elsewhere will stand rejected.
