Qualification Details:
Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for project position(s) as per the details given below for the research project(s) under the Principal investigator (Name: Dr. Biswarup Das), Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
1. Title of project: Development of Indigenous Simulation Model for Design Validation of Power Supply of High Speed Railways
2. Project position(s) and number: 04, Junior Research Fellow
3. Qualifications: M. Tech./M. E. Electrical (Specialization in Power System / Power Electronics).
4. Emoluments: 31,000 + HRA (as per institute rules)
5. Duration: Three Years
6. Job description:
i. Development of software program for time variant power flow analysis, harmonic power flow analysis, short circuit analysis, calculation of induced voltage and calculation of temperature rise in OHE of electric traction network.
ii. Validation of the developed software program by comparing its output with the results
i) obtained with other simulation platform,
ii) available in existing reports and iii) with the field test and measurement process (if available). Compiling the results, data interpretation, writing research paper and project reports.
Selection Process :
On-line interview would be conducted for outstation candidates on their request.
