Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals possessing the essential eligibility Qualification given below for direct recruitment to the following post of Junior Engineer (Trainee) Civil against category-wise vacancies under Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd. (UPPCL) and its DISCOMS, TRANSCO as detailed below. Submission of application through any other mode is not acceptable:-

7. Essential Eligibility Qualification:
i. The candidate must produce certificate from the head of the institution from which he passed out or from a gazettee officer in uttar pradesh that he can read and write Hindi in the Devnagri Script with ease, provided that such certificate will not be necessary in the case of a candidate who passed the High School equivalent examination with Hindi or who has obtained a degree, diploma or certificate of any hindi examination from an Institution recognized by State Government.
ii. A candidate must Have passed: 3 years Diploma examination in Civil Engineering awarded by the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or a Diploma, equivalent thereto, recoqnized bv the State Govt.
Age: Candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 40 years as on 01.01.2021.

Documents Required:
All concerned and relevant original documents viz Caste certificate (OBC- NCL candidates must submit their caste cerfificate issued after 31-03-2020), domicile certificates (issued after 31-03-2017), date of birth certificate, essential Technical qualification certificate/ final marks sheet, Apprentice certificate, certificate of 'Ex- Serviceman in Armed Forces of India' shall have to be submitted for verfiaction alongwith a self attested copy of each document on the place, date and time to be decided by ESC.Failing to produce these qualifying documents in original at the time of checking, will result in conditional rejection of the candidature.

Selection Procedure :
1. Selection process will be based on Computer Based Test only. Computer Based Test (CBT) will preferably be held at Varanasi, Lucknow,.Agra and Meerut cities. Electricity Service Commission, however, have the right to cancel any of t Examination City/Center and/or add some other cities/centers depending upon the response, feasibility, or any force- majeure conditions etc.
2. The test shall be of 3-hour duration with total 200 marks ahd shall comprise of total 200 questions, out of which 150 questions shall be from the Diploma engg.
3. Branch syllabus for the Post applied, 20 questions of General questions of Reasoning and 10 questions of General Hindi.
4. Each correct answer shall carry one mark each and each wrong answer shall carry additional neqative mark of 0.25. Candidates who.obtain less than 30% marks will be rejected for further process of selection.
5. The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the CBT. Maximum number of candidates to be shortlisted for document verification will be equal to two times the number of category-wise vacancies on the basis,of CBT exam merit.
6. Candidates having equal marks as that of last shortlisted candidate will be called for document verification.
7. Shortlisted candidates who fail to appear for Document Verificatiomon the scheduled date & time shall not be given any further chance and their candidature shall be cancelled
