Qualification Details:
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for undergoing training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 as per the following requirements. Candidates will be interviewed online through Google Meet.

1. Name of the Post: Trade Apprenticeship Trainee

3. Trade: Fitter, Machinist, Welder, Electrician, Wireman, Electronics Mechanic, Refrigeration & A/c Mechanic, Draughtsman (Civil), PASAA#, Carpenter,
4. Training Period: 01 Year - 02 Years
5. Stipend: Rs. 6,732/- pm to Rs. 7,574/- pm
6. Minimum Educational Qualifications: Passed out trainees in the particular trade of NCVT pattern designated by Director General of Employment & Training (D.G.E.&T) and who have registered with Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training (RDAT), Chennai will only be considered for selection.
7. Previous Training/experience: Ex-Apprentices or current Apprentices in any organization/firm are not eligible to apply. Combining of apprenticeship with other institutions is not permitted.
Age: The minimum age limit is not less than 14 years. SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation, OBC – Non Creamy Layer Candidates: 3 years relaxation, Persons with disabilities: 10 years relaxation
General Conditions:
1. Candidates should have their valid Aadhar Number.
2. The candidates have to submit their duly filled-in application along with self-attested copies of certificates, mark sheets, proof of date of birth (copy of SSLC/HSC), Aadhar Card, a passport size photograph.
3. Incomplete applications (ie. Non mention of trade for which applied, without photograph, signature and all Semester (ITI & Diploma) Marksheets/Overall Mark sheet of ITI / Consolidated Mark Statement of Diploma and applicable certificates etc.) will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected.
4. Candidates should specifically note that the applications received after the closing date for any reason whatsoever (such as envelopes wrongly addressed, delivered elsewhere, postal delay etc.) will not be entertained by CSIR-CECRI.
5. If the candidate does not have a valid gmail id, he/she should create a gmail id before submitting application. Details regarding Interview through Google Meet will be sent to the gmail id only.
6. Eligible/shortlisted candidates shall attend the Online Interview through Google Meet only.
7. CSIR-CECRI shall not be responsible if a candidate could not be interviewed online due to connectivity issues/ network error / low bandwidth at his/her end.
8. In case of receipt of large number of applications from candidates, the Selection Committee shall adopt its own criteria and shortlist the candidates for online interview in proportionate to the available vacancies.
9. Shortlisted candidates will be provided with Google Meet code 10 minutes prior to interview in their respective Gmail ID. Shortlisted candidates will have to be readily available on the date of interview. (if any change is there, they will be intimated accordingly). In the event of non-response to our Gmail and SMS sharing Gmeet code, the candidate is forfeiting his/her opportunity and thereafter no requests for re-scheduling interview shall be considered.
10. The original documents including educational qualification, Birth/SSLC certificate, community and experience certificate, etc., in respect of selected candidate will be verified at the time of joining. Your joining at CSIR-CECRI as apprenticeship trainee is subject to verification of certificates.
11. Selected Candidate will be provided accommodation in the Institute campus and license fee will be levied.
12. Successful apprenticeship trainees will be awarded National Apprenticeship Certificate by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

15. The applicant’s candidature would be provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates and testimonials. In case, it is detected at any stage of engagement or thereafter, that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/ doctored/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after engagement if any, his/her engagement is liable to be terminated.
16. The decision of the Director, CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi will be final and binding on all candidates and on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection, cancellation of the selection process either in part or full, etc. No correspondence/ Interim queries will be entertained in this regard. Filling up of the seats is solely at the discretion of the Director, CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for engagement, if some of these seats are not filled due to unsuitability/ insufficient number of candidates.
17. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship period CSIR-CECRI shall have NO obligation to offer employment to such apprentices NOR can an Apprentice claim right for employment on the grounds of completion of Apprenticeship.
18. Canvassing in any form and /or bringing in any influence, political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification.

Candidates are required to send one set of photocopy of all relevant testimonials with self-attestation as indicated below along with the application-
(i) Caste/Tribe Certificate [for SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/EWS candidates as applicable] in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority as prescribed by Government of India.
(ii) All Certificates/Testimonials in respect of DOB, qualifications.
(iii) Experience certificate/Documents issued by the Employer in support of experience
(iv) Candidates should ensure that they submit all the documents mentioned above. In the event of failure to submit any of the required documents as mentioned above within the stipulated period, candidature is liable to be rejected.

Note: When registration in the website, candidate should enter his/father/mother name as given in their Aadhaar, PAN, or any other valid government ID. Before registration candidate should compare your name in their ITI/SSLC certificates with their name in Aadhaar, PAN, or any other valid government ID. Once your name entered in website, it will not be modified/ edited later and the same shall be reflected in your National Apprenticeship Certificate.
2. For students who have not so far enrolled in the National Web Portal (Technician - Diploma Apprentices):
Step 1:
a. Go to www.mhrdnats.gov.in
b. Click Enroll
c. Complete the application form
d. A unique Enrolment Number for each student will be generated.
Note: Please wait for at least one day for enrollment verification and approval. After this student can proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 :
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume
e. Choose Establishment name
f. Type “CSIR CECRI” and search
g. Click apply
h. Click apply again
