Qualification Details:
Applications are invited by the Director, JIPMER from eligible Indian candidates for filling up of posts of SENIOR RESIDENT (tenure post for duration of three years) that are vacant or likely to fall vacant soon in the following disciplines.
1. Post Name: Senior Resident
2. No of Vacancy: 33
3. Pay Scale: Candidates with Postgraduate Medical Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India will be paid B/Pay Rs.67,700 (Level 11, Cell 1) (Revised) and usual allowances per month in the first
year of his/her residency (Total Rs.1,10,000 approximately).
4. Essential Qualifications: An MCI recognized postgraduate Medical degree viz. MD/MS/DNB in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
Age: Not exceeding 45 years as on 07-12-2020. Relaxable for Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe candidates up to five years, for OBC candidates up to three years. PWD candidates are eligible for further age relaxation up to 10 years (i.e 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST)
Application Fee: Rs. 500 for General (UR), OBC & EWS candidates Rs. 250 for SC/ST candidates Application Fee is exempted in case of candidates applying under PwDs (Persons with Disabilities) category. Kindly note that in addition to the application fee, service charge for making online payment will be deducted as per the norms of Bank. The application fee once remitted will not be refunded at any circumstances.

Selection Procedure :
1. A written Examination based on MCQs in the subject concerned will be conducted for eligible candidates followed by personal interview.
2. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their written test marks. List of short listed candidates will be displayed in our notice board on the same day. In this regard, this Institute reserves the right to take the final decision.
3. Selection process for the post of Senior Resident will include a written examination (80%) and personal interview (20%).

Interested and eligible candidates may attend the Written test and Interview to be held at 08.30.A.M on 07-12-2020 (MONDAY) AND 09-12-2020 (WEDNESDAY) at JIPMER Academic Centre, Jipmer, Puducherry as per above schedule along with
i) Filled in application & Bio-Data in the prescribed format (appended)
ii) Original Certificates with one set of Self-attested copy thereof and
iii) Copy of the printout of fees paid through online (No fee is required to be payable by Persons with Disabilities (PwD’s) candidates).
