Qualification Details:
NHSRC is mandated to contribute towards National strategic health planning, programme design and capacity building. Healthcare Technology division has been instrumental in the designing of the Free Diagnostics Initiative, Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis program, Biomedical Equipment Management and Maintenance Program, AERB as well as in supporting the States for implementation and capacity building for these programs. NHSRC has developed comprehensive guidance documents which guide the States on best practices for planning, implementation, management of the abovementioned Programs in a high quality, cost and operationally effective manner. The positions offer you an opportunity to actually participate in the process of strengthening health systems, improving health service delivery and enabling positive health outcomes, through hands on implementation assistance at national, state and district levels. NHSRC intends to engage Short Term Junior Consultant - Healthcare Technology (02 Positions), purely on contractual basis, for a period of 3 months
1.Number of Positions: Two (02)
2.Duration: Up to Three months, further extendable subject to performance of candidate and requirement of division
3.Remuneration Range: Between Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 55,000/- per month* *Fee offered within the band will be commensurate qualification and experience
4.Qualifications & Experience: B. Tech/B.E. in Biomedical/Electronics& communication engineering is mandatory. At least 1 year of post-qualification work experience in analytical roles specializing in devices & diagnostics validation/evaluations. Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS-Word, Excel, Power Point & Web surfing to search relevant data & documents. Excellent communication and presentation skills, analytical and interpersonal abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Knowledge in Health systems development desirable. Willingness to travel to states & districts to collect technical information and ability to subsequently synthesize information into research evidence. Formal Educational Qualification, Experience and Age could be relaxed for exceptional candidates.
5.Roles & Responsibilities: The Junior Consultant will work in the following areas:
1. Technical assistance towards identification of cost-effective medical devices & diagnostics
2. Assessment of safety and efficacy of devicesincluding secondary data research
3. Providing technical assistance on device & diagnostics related quality assessments
4. Support in implementation and progress monitoring of National programs in the states as per their Program Implementation Plan (PIP) through frequent interactions with state dialysis nodal officers and update team on regular basis.
5. Work closely with various stakeholders to finalize the peritoneal dialysis guidance documents such as Model RFP document, SoPs, Training Material, IEC and Module for Pediatric Patients.
6. Undertake other assignments, which may be assigned from time to time.
