Qualification Details:
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates, for filling up the various posts on contract basis in the Ministry of Women & Child Development funded project titled “National Initiative & Integrated Resource for Child Protection, Mental Health, and Psychosocial Care”, under Dr. Shekhar Seshadri, Sr. Professor, Dept. of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Principal Investigator
1. Name of the Post: Project Officers – Child Protection
2. No. of Posts 02 (Two)
3. Essential Qualifications a) Master’s Degree, in Social Work or Psychology or Public policy/finance or equivalent in finance related. At least 3 years’ experience (post to essential qualification) in directly
working with vulnerable children in urban/ rural communities or child care institutions in the areas of mental health/ protection/ welfare, of which at least 1 year is in working with government and other systems of child welfare and related areas. Knowledge and skills in child and adolescent protection work. Strong English oral and written skills. Good working knowledge of oral Hindi Evidence of training experience in child mental health and protection areas (for ICPS/ school staff/judicial personnel…) Evidence of written work and documentation in the area of child mental health and protection Willingness to travel within the country
4. Desired knowledge/skills: Knowledge of Indian child protection laws and policies.Experience with the government education system. Oral/ working knowledge of at least 1 (Indian) regional language. Experience in program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation A deep commitment to children’s issues. Dynamic and flexible with the ability to undertake new initiatives and respond quickly to changing situations and new needs.
5. Emoluments / Salary Rs.90,000/- per month (Consolidated).
6. Job Profile: Implement project activities including data collection, analysis, training, material development. Assist with training programs/support for childcare service providers of various cadres/types. Work with various technical teams in a coordinated manner. Compile project reports as required. Coordinate with government/external agencies as required. Represent the project through government/coordination meetings.

9. Essential Qualifications: Masters Degree in Psychology. At least 3 years experience (post to essential qualification in directly working with children, with a minimum of 1 year working in school settings. Knowledge and skills in school mental health practice. Strong English oral and written skills. Good working knowledge of oral Hindi Evidence of training experience in child mental health and protection areas (for ICPS/ school staff/judicial personnel…) Evidence of written work and documentation in the area of child mental health and protection. Willingness to travel within the country.
10. Desired knowledge/skills: Experience with the government education system. 13. Essential Qualifications a) MPhil Degree in Clinical Psychology. At least 2 years’ experience (post to essential qualification) in directly working with children in clinical settings. Knowledge and skills in psychological testing and child and adolescent therapeutic practice. Of the 2 years’ experience, at least 6 months experience of working with vulnerable children from government/welfare systems. Strong English oral and written skills. Good working knowledge of oral Hindi, Evidence of training experience in child mental health and protection areas (for ICPS/ school staff/judicial personnel…) Evidence of written work and documentation in the area of child mental health and protection. Willingness to travel within the country.
14. Desired knowledge/skills: Oral/ working knowledge of at least 1 (Indian) regional language. Selection Process:
Eligible candidates will be shortlisted. Interview will be conducted via Video conference and the details will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates.
