Qualification Details:
Engagement Of Teaching Faculty On Contractual Basis For Esi- Pgimsr & Esic Medical College, Joka. Employees’ State Insurance Corporation which is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act, 1948) and works under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India intends to fill up the Teaching Faculty positions in the post of Associate Professor & Assistant Professor in Esi Pgimsr, Esic Medical College & Esic Hospital& Odc (Ez), Joka for appointment on contract basis initially for one year, to be extendable for another one year on satisfactory performance, with a minimum term of one year in respect of teaching faculty or attaining the age of 70 years whichever is earlier through walk in interview. The number of vacancies and other details are as given below:-

3. Educational Qualifications
a. For General Disciplines: A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act and (A post graduate qualification e.g MD (Doctor of Medicine )/ MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline. Four years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical college with minimum of two research publications in indexed or national journals provided that these research publications are published or accepted for publication in the Journals by the National Associations or Societies of the respective specialties as the First or Corresponding Author, and further provided that the requirement of two research publications for promotion to the post of Associate Professor should be fulfilled with two research publications must be published during the tenure of the Assistant Professor.
4. Salary: Rs. 116000/- (Rupees one lakh sixteen thousand only)
Age: Not exceeding 69 years as on 03.09.2020 for all posts.

General conditions:
i. Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate to be interviewed.
ii. Application should be submitted in the prescribed format only. The applications found to be incomplete will be summarily rejected.
iii. Wrong declarations/ submission of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage.
iv. Opportunity of interview given to candidates will be on provisional basis.
v. The Walk in Interview shall be conducted at academic building Dean Office, Esic Medical College, Joka, Diamond Harbour Road, and Kolkata 700104. However, ESIC reserves the right to change the centre, if needed.
Note:
1. All the candidates are requested to appear for the document verification one hour before the interview with protection like protective wears like cap masks goggles, face shield and carry sanitizer and maintain social distance.
2. Candidate at the entry of the venue will be subjected to thermal screening.Only those candidates with normal temperature will be allowed to appear in the verification and interview.

Selection Process:
i. The selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate Walk In Interview before the Selection Board.

How to Apply:
1. The candidate should check his/her eligibility against the advertised criteria for each post before applying. Only eligible candidate should appear for the walk in interview with the following documents in original along with two sets of self attested copied on the stipulated date, time at venue mentioned.
a) Two sets of the prescribed application form enclosed with this notification must be printed on A4 size paper and properly filled up and submitted at the time of verification on the day of walk in interview.
b) Two recent self-attested color passport size photographs.
c) Two sets of self-attested copies of certificates and testimonials in support of: (i) proof of age/Date of Birth(Secondary exam certificate/admit card), (ii) Category (SC & ST), Category OBC and Category EWS in up to date Government of India Format, Subcategory, (iii) Educational Qualifications: (Graduate, Post Graduate certificate, & any other),(iv)Registration certificate issued by State Medical Council/MCI (v) MCI recognized teaching experience issued by the Head of the Institute or Head of the Department, (vi) Research Publications in Indexed Journals, (vii) Pension Payment Order (PPO), in case of retired employees from Govt. organizations (Viii) NOC for in service candidate from employer (ix) Service bond release certificate if applicable along with original documents.
