Applications are invited for filling up of one post of Sr. Dy. Traffic Manager in the scale of pay of (pre-revised Rs. 32,900- 58,000/ -), at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (Kolkata Dock System) by absorption through composite method, as per the Recruitment Rules. A copy of the Recruitment Rules is enclosed (Annexure-I).
1. Educational and Other qualifications prescribed for direct recruitment: (i) A Degree from recognised university. (ii) Twelve years experience in shipping/ cargo operations/ railway transportation in executive cadre in an industrial/ Commercial/ Govt. Undertaking.
2. Method of recruitment (whether by direct recruitment or by promotion/a bsorption/deputation): By absorpion through composite method, failing which, by deputation and failing both, by direct recruitment.
3. Number of Post: 02.
4. Scale of Pay (Rs): 32,900-58,000/-.
5. In case of promotion/ adsorption/de putation , grades from which it should be made: absorption through composite method, Officers holding analogous post or post of Deputy Traffic Manager and equivalent posts in a discipline of Traffic Deptt. in the scale of of pay RS.24,900- 50,500/- with 3 years service in the grade in a Port Trust or Traffic _.Managar equivalent post in the discipline Of Traffic Department with 2 years regular service in the grade and a combined regular service 7 years in the Of pay of Rs 20.600- 46,500/- (pre- revised Rs.10750- 167501.) and Rs 24,900- 50,500b in the discipline Of Traffic Department in a Major port Trust Will be eligible. deputatim. Selection Process:
The selection will be made on the basis of merit for which overall grading in the ACRs/ APARs will not be below Very Good. The officer selected for the above post will be appointed on composite method and will be governed by the terms and conditions, prescribed by the Central Govt.

a) You are requested to kindly circulate the vacancy among the eligible officers of your port and forward the applications in the prescribed Proforma (Annexure-II) duly superscribing on the envelope Application for the post of Sr. Dy. Traffic Manager to the Sr. Personnel Officer, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, 15, Strand Road, Kolkata-700001 along with the following relevant documents:-
i) Copies Of APARs for the last 5 years attested by an officer not below the rank of Dy. HOD on each page.
ii) Attested copies of all the certificates towards proof of educational qualification, present and past work experience in the respective post and pay scale.
iii) No objection certificate from the respective Ports.
iv) Undertaking Of the applicant to the effect that the candidature will not be withdrawn, if selected.
v) Vigilance and administrative clearance by the concerned Port (Annexure -III).
vi) Self attested passport size photographs (two numbers).
b) Crucial date for determining the eligibility will be the last date of 3. submission of application i.e. 14.08.2020. If any major or minor penalty has been imposed on the applicant 4. during the last 10 years, the disciplinary case leading to such penalty along with necessary documents may be sent by the forwarding authority along with application. Vigilance report is to be furnished in the format prescribed, vide Ministry of Shippings letter No.A-12022/ 10/2005-PE.I dated 27th August, 2010, copy of which is attached as Annexure-w.
c) The last date to receive the application at SMP, Kolkata is 14.08.2020. Applications received through proper channel will only be considered. Incomplete application or application received after the due date will not be considered.
