Qualification Details:
1. JOINT DIRECTOR, ANIMAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT (INSTITUTE OF ANIMAL HEALTH & VETERINARY BIOLOGICALS, RESEARCH & EDUCATION)
a. Departmental Candidates who have served at least for two years as Deputy Director are eligible to apply. PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. – 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.6, 600/-.
b. Essential: A post graduate degree in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.). At least eight years’ experience in field in eradication of disease. At least four years’ experience in disease investigation & eradication works. (At least four years’ experience in a biological production centre. (v) At least two years’ experience as Head of the Office and D.D.O. in any of the above capacities or separately. Knowledge of Bengali / Nepali and English – spoken and written. Registration with the West Bengal Veterinary Council under Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984.
c. Desirable: Ph. D. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Bio-chemistry or such allied subjects considered necessary for production of Veterinary Biologicals, diagnosis and disease eradication. A candidate with outstanding academic record will be preferred. A Degree or Diploma in Business Management of a University recognized by All India Council of Technical Education.
2. JOINT DIRECTOR, ANIMAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT OF THE DIRECTORATE IN DIVISIONS IN WEST BENGAL HIGHER ANIMAL HUSBANDRY & VETERINARY SERVICE:
a. Departmental Candidates are eligible to apply provided the incumbent has worked at least for two years as Deputy Director. PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. – 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.6, 600/-
b. Essential: A Master degree in Veterinary Science. Eight years’ experience in field in eradication of diseases. Four years’ experience in Disease Diagnosis. Four years’ experience in Cattle/Poultry or other Livestock Development. At least two years’ experience as Head of the Office and D.D.O. in any of the above posts or separately. Registration with the West Bengal Veterinary Council under Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984. Knowledge of Bengali / Nepali and English – spoken and written.
b. Desirable: Ph. D. in Veterinary Science. A Degree or Diploma in Business Management of a University recognized by All India Council of Technical Education.
3. JOINT DIRECTOR, ANIMAL RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT IN WEST BENGAL HIGHER ANIMAL HUSBANDRY & VETERINARY SERVICE
a. Departmental Candidates are eligible to apply provided the incumbent has worked at least for two years as Deputy Director.
b. PAY: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. – 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.6, 600/-.
c. Essential: A Master degree in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry. Eight years’ experience in extension work in field. Four years’ experience in a Livestock Farm/Biological Production Centre with two years as Head of the Office and D.D.O. Four years’ experience in disease diagnosis/eradication/cattle/poultry and other Livestock Breeding/Development Programme. For the holders of Master Degree in Veterinary Science, registration with the West Bengal Veterinary Council under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 is necessary. Knowledge of Bengali / Nepali and English – spoken and written Desirable: Ph. D. in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry. (ii) A Degree or Diploma in Business Management of a University recognized by All India Council of Technical Education.
Age: Not more than 52 years on 01.01.2018
Application Fee: Rs. 210/- (Rupees two hundred ten) onlyS.C./S.T. candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (P.W.D.) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. BC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay usual fee as aforesaid. NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO S.C./S.T. CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES AND B.C. CANDIDATES. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination
Information:
1. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one category of posts should submit separate Application along with requisite fees for each. The qualifications prescribed in the advertisement are as per the notified recruitment rules issued by Government. All the degrees/diplomas/certificates mentioned in the advertisement must have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions.
2. The prescribed ‘essential qualifications’ are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle applicants to be called in for the interview. Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it is not convenient or possible for the Commission to interview all the applicants the Commission may restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of either higher qualifications in the relevant subjects/higher standard of marks/grade obtained in the essential qualifications or experience in relevant field higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement or on the basis of a Screening Test/Written Test. The Commission may fix qualifying cut-off marks for all the categories of the vacancies in each level of examination, i.e. written, interview and aggregate.
3. All requisite certificates regarding educational qualifications, proof of age, other relevant experience certificates and other requisite documents must be furnished as and when required by the Commission. If at any stage even after issue of a letter of recommendation for appointment a candidate is found ineligible in terms of the advertisement his/her candidature will be cancelled without further reference to him/her.
4. Where experience of a number of years is prescribed as an item of qualification this would mean only experience/research experience gained in full time employment/research in the relevant field within the closing date of receipt of applications. [Certificate(s) from the Head(s) of the Organisation(s)/Department(s) or Competent Authority for the entire experience claimed, clearly mentioning the duration of employment (date, month and year) and field of experience indicating basic pay and consolidated pay must be obtained. The certificate(s) should also mention the nature of duties performed/experience obtained in the post(s) with duration(s)].
