Qualification Details:
1. Qualification: Graduate from a recognized University. Degree/one year PG Diploma in Journalism with a duration of at least one year from a recognized University/Institution OR 5-year experience in Reporting /Editing work in print and electronic Media. Proficiency in Hindi & Punjabi.
2. Desirable qualifications: Experience of journalistic work in Radio/TV (for Degree or Diploma holders). Knowledge of basic computer applications.
Casual News Reader cum Translator:
Qualification Details:
1. Qualification: Graduate from recognized University. Proficiency in the language for which to be empanelled. Good voice suitable for broadcasting.
2. Desirable qualifications: Experience of journalistic work in Radio/TV. Knowledge of basic computer applications
Casual Data Entry Operator:
Qualification Details:
Should have completed 10+2 2. Basic computer skills in Internet, uploading and downloading of audio and text files, format conversion etc. Typing speed of 30 wpm on computer. Good knowledge of Punjabi, Hindi,English

Selection Procedure:
Casual News Editor: Written test and Interview
Casual News Reader cum Translator: Written test, Voice test & Interview.
Casual Data Entry Operator: Typing test and basic computer skills & Interview
How to Apply:
1. The empanelment is purely based on assignment basis and the assignee will have no right to claim for permanent employment in AIR. The casual assignee services are engaged depending on work requirement in the News Unit and as per the norms prescribed by DG:AIR. The assignee will not be engaged for more than six days in a month. Last date for receiving of applications is – 18-5-2018.
2. Interested candidates are required to submit their filled-in applications to the Addl.Director General (News), All India Radio, Chandigarh. - Self attested photo copies of Residential proof, educational and technical qualifications, experience, caste certificate (if applicable) and two passport size photographs should be enclosed with the application. No TA/DA will be given at any step of empanelment. The applicant should not have any affiliation with any political party.
3. The candidates are required to deposit application processing fee (non refundable) along with applications through Bank Demand Draft (SBI only), payable at State Bank of India, Sector 34 branch, Chandigarh in favour of Station Director, All India Radio, Chandigarh.
