Qualification Details:
Officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union territories or Public Sector Undertakings or recognised research institutions or Universities or Semi-Government or statutory or autonomous organisations: (i)holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii)with three years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the post as Associate Professor in the Pay Band-4, Rs.37400-67000 with Academic Grade Pay uf Rs.9000 in the parent cadre or and department; (b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:
Ph.D. Degree with First Class Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the fire or civil or mechanical or electrical branch Of Engineering and Technology; and at least ten years' experience in teaching, research or industry, out Of which at least five years at the level of Assistant Professor, Reader or equivaient grade.
Desirable:
a. Teaching, Research, Industrial or professional experience in a reputed organisation; Published work, such as research papers, patents filed or obtained, books Or technical reports; FN.perience of guiding the project work or dissertation of Post Graduate or Research Students or supervising Research and Development projects in industry.
b. Demonstrated leadership in planning and organising academic, research, industrial or professional activities; and Capacity to undertake or lead sponsored Research and Development.
Period of deputation [including Short Term Contract (1ST C)) including period of deputation (ISTC) spent in another ex-cadre post held immediately Preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed five years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (ISTC) shall be not exceeding fifty six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
