Qualification Details:
1. Should have passed Std VII and should not have acquired Graduation. (ii) Experience for not less than one year as 'Ayah' of children gained from a Government Institution or from any institution registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 (Central Act XXI of 1860) or the Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act 1955 (XII of 1955).
2. In the absence of candidates with qualification specified in item (i) above candidates with the following qualification will be considered for appointment as Ayah. “A pass in Standard VII (NEW) or equivalent qualification”.
3. Note : Experience mentioned in item (ii) should be the one gained after acquiring the General Educational Qualification prescribed in item (i). The post of Ayah in all the Departments shall be reserved exclusively for women candidates. 3. KS&SSR Part II Rule 10 a (ii) is applicable for selection to this post.

Selection Procedure:
1. If a Written/OMR/Online exam is conducted as part of this selection, Admission Ticket for eligible candidates will be made available in their Profile for One Time Registration and the date of downloading will be included in the Examination Calendar.
2. Candidates can download Admission Ticket for 15 days from this date. Candidates who have downloaded the Admission Ticket will alone be permitted to attend the examination.
How to Apply:
1. Candidates must register as per 'ONE TIME REGISTRATION' with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission 'www.keralapsc.gov.in' before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging in to their profile using their User-ID and password.
2. Candidates must click on the 'Apply Now' button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. The Photograph uploaded should be taken after 31.12.2010. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed at the bottom portion.
3. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates shall take a printout of the application by clicking the link Registration Card in their profile. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password.
4. Before the final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the information on their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission.
5. The application will be summarily rejected if noncompliance with the notification is found in due course of processing. Documents to prove Qualification, Experience, Community, Age etc. have to be produced as and when called for.
