Qualification Details:
1. Name of the Posts: Secretary PB- 37000 - 67000 with G.P-10000 (Prerevised), Revised to Pay Matrix - Level-14 No. of Post --1 (One) (Reservation not applicable)
2. Essential Educational Qualification & Qualifying Service: Graduate from a recognized University. Officers holding analogous post on regular basis or in the pay scale of Rs. 37400- 67000, G.P-8900 (pre- revised), or equivalent with two years regular service or in the pay scale of Rs. 37400-67000, G.P-8700 (pre-revised) or equivalent with four years regular service.
3. Desirable Qualification & Experience: Experience of working in Regulatory Body preferably in Power Sector Experience of Finance, Engineering, Law, Management or administrative matter related to General Administration in State/Central Govt. / PSU/Statutory Body. Knowledge of Electricity Act, 2003 and rules and regulations made thereunder.

2.Law Officer:
Qualification Details:
1. Post Name: Law Officer 9300 - 34800 G. p -4800 (Prerevised) Revised to pay Matrix — Level-8 No. of post—I (One)
2. Qualification: Law graduate from a recognized university. For appointment on contract, officers holding analogus post or three years regular service in the pay scale Of Rs. 9300-34800, G.P-4200 or equivalent.
3 .Desirable: Legal work experience in state/Central Govt/ PSU/ Statutory Body.Knowledge of Electricity Act, 2003 and rules & regulations made threunder.

3.Deputy Director:
Qualification Details:
1. Name of the Posts: Deputy Director, Engg. (Distribution - Tariff) PB - 15600-39100 with G.P-7600 (Prerevised) Revised to Pay Matrix - Level-12 No. of Post -1 (One) (Reservation not applicable)
2. Essential Educational Qualification & Qualifying Service: Graduate in Electrical/ Power Engg. from a recognized University. 2. Officers holding analogous post on regular basis; or with 3 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100, G.P 6600 (pre-revised) or equivalent; or with 5 years regular service in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100, G.P 5400 (pre-revised) or equivalent.
3. Desirable Qualification & Experience: Experience of Electricity tariff issues in State/Central GovtIPSU/Statutory Body. Knowledge of Electricity Act, 2003 and rules and regulations made thereunder.

Terms and Conditions:
The posts under Commission are non transferable and posting will be Only at Patna. The Commission shall have full discretion to make appointment against all the advertised post or sorne of them and Commission's decision in this regard shall be final. Terms and Conditions for deputation and on contract basis shall be as per provision in Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission (Recruitment and Terms and Conditions of Service of Officers and employees) Regulations, 2014.
Selection Procedure:
1. Subject to the general guidelines issued by the State Government, appointment shall be made for filling up the vacancies against the sanctioned posts of the Commission as per educational qualification and experience mentioned above. All application shall be scrutinised and shortlisted by a Committee constituted by the Commission. Eligible shortlisted candidates will have to appear before the Commission or the Selection Committee appointed by it for interaction.
2 .Appointment except on deputation shall be made in a manner as the Commission considers appropriate subject to verification Of character and antecedents of the candidates. Selection of the candidate on deputation shall be subject to Vigilance Clearance from the parent organizsation and scrutiny of Annual Confidential Remarks for the last three years.
