1.Selection criteria for Faculty :-
A) Assistant Professors (on Contract Basis)
Qualification:
Ph.D. with minimum of 2 years Teaching / Research experience inChemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mathematics, CSE, EEE, Biology,Chemistry, Mechanical.
Criteria
(i) Age under 35 years (preferable);
(ii) 2 years teaching / Research experience in reputed institutions / National Laboratories;
(iii) Minimum 3 International Journal publications in SCI/SCIE Journals with impact factor;
(iv) Rules can be relaxed for exceptional candidates;
(v) Candidates from industries with proven track records may also be considered;
(vi) Emoluments consist of a consolidated pay of Rs. 85,000/- per month; however in case of deserving candidates negotiable.
(vii) Initial period of contract shall be 2 years, renewable thereafter.
B) Senior Professors / Visiting Faculty on contractual basis
(i) Ph.D with minimum 15 years Teaching / Research experience in Chemical Engineering and Basic Sciences, Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry.
(ii) Age up to 69 years will be considered for senior contractual faculty
(iii) Minimum 15 years Teaching / Research experience in reputed Institutions;
(iv) Good International journal publication record;
(v) Rules can be relaxed for exceptional candidates;
(vi) Candidates from industries with proven track records may also be considered
(vii) The initial period of contract shall be 2 years; renewable thereafter;
(viii) Emoluments in case of senior faculty members shall be Rs. one lakh per month subject to eligibility and experience. However in case of deserving candidates, negotiable.
2. Important Points for all the applicants for faculty positions
• Candidates who had applied against our earlier advertisements need not apply unless they have improved upon their qualification criterion.

• Institute reserves the rights to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised
• It should be noted that the mere possession of minimum qualifications does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The Institute may restrict the number of such candidates to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience, which may be higher than the essential qualifications prescribed here in above.
• The selection committee at its discretion may relax the minimum requirements in case of outstanding candidates for each of the posts advertised.
• Applications who are employed in Government, Semi-Government Organizations or Institutions should send their applications through proper channel else they will be required to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of interview.
• Candidate in India, if invited, have to personally appear for interview, while those in abroad may be interviewed by Audio/Video link. Candidates invited for interview/presentation/interaction in India shall be provided to and fro. II AC Express / Superfast Train fare by shortest at a stretch route under normal quota of reservation subject to production of tickets. However the candidate must be personally present at-least in one of the processing of interview.
